02.28.2020 About Measures Regarding COVID-19

To participating runners, volunteers and all other affiliated parties of the 30th Sendai International Half Marathon:
 
We have been receiving inquiries regarding the current feasibility for the holding of the marathon in light of the spread of the infectious Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). Presently we are working on gathering information whilst cooperating with affiliated institutions, and are making preparations to ensure that this event is held in both a safe and healthy manner.
 
Moving forward, we will continue to monitor the situation. This may result in the cancellation of the event. Announcements regarding the holding or cancellation of the event will be posted on the Sendai International Half Marathon’s official website and social media accounts.
